It’s the first glimmer of spring. Southwest Baseball captain’s practices begin soon!

This year we have two winter training options: Saturday evening captains’ practices at The Cages (Northstar’s facility) in Burnsville, and weekday practices for throwing and defensive work on the turf field at Champion’s Hall in Eden Prairie. (Parents are not allowed to wait in The Cages facility; at Champion’s Hall, parents can wait in the waiting area there, which is large enough to allow for social distancing.)

These practices are voluntary and we understand that those participating in winter sports will have limited availability for the captains’ practices. Additionally, the pandemic may influence your decision not to participate. No family or player should feel pressure to join the practices.

With COVID in mind, ALL players and coaches are required to wear masks at all times during the practices. We recommend that each player brings his own hand sanitizer and practices physical distancing as much as possible.

If a player is not feeling well, he should not come to practice.
